I practice commercial photography in Alexander Valley in California's North Sonoma County. It is a beautiful farming area. I am blessed by the opportunities I have to work in the midst of such an abundance of visual beauty. The photos show a small part of the process of making the wine: New Spring Growth, the Pick, the Waiting in the Oaken Barrels, the final offering of a finished wine. What a way to make a living! H
I have been married since 1965, I have two children, Shannon and Joel, and I have three grandchildren, Megan, Brigit, and Liam.
I have been a professional photographer since 1969. I do a lot of commercial work, but what I do for art is nude photography.
I began writing songs and performing in the early 1970s, but I decided a few years ago that I would do than write songs, and begin to concentrate on performance.
In the middle of all this, I decided to get some degrees and see what I could do with them. I received my Ph. D. in 1999, and am now a professor with the Center for the Arts, Rekigion, and Education, in Berkeley, CA.
I was also ordained in the United Church of Christ, and am serving a Disciples of Christ Congregation.
My life is full and I like every ounce of it.
I told a friend that I owed it to my music to see if I could take it as far as I did my photography.
